Havant and Waterlooville have a run of 3 away matches, so I asked Lee Bradbury to share his thoughts on the 2 Ryman league matches starting this Saturday away at Staines and next Saturday away to Merstham;
As Havant and Waterlooville embark on 3 consecutive away matches, Lee Bradbury shares his thoughts.
' we are Looking forward to Saturday, Wes Fogden is back from injury but we will miss Jason Prior who will serving a one match ban for his red card, but as they say 'when one door closes another door opens' its an opportunity for someone else to come into the side and try and keep the shirt, and try and improve the team, and I know they will do, we have four good strikers at the club, players like James Hayter have had to be patient and wait their turn, James did really well when he came on at half time in the last match, so he is an option for us. As we saw here earlier this season Staines are a good side, they are physical, strong and have some pace on the counter attack, we need to be aware of that. The pitch is good up there and I think that will suit us, we can get the ball down and play, it's a good chance for us to continue our good away form this season. We are confident at the moment, home and away and we have to work hard to keep that going.
'Moving onto Merstham next Saturday, another hard match, they are quite a small team but quick, sharp and good on the ball, they play some good passing football, I watched them earlier this season and they can beat teams up and around the top as they've already demonstrated this season.
'So we are expecting 2 tough games away from home, we will be looking to get at least 4 points from these 2 matches, leading us into an important Christmas period. Can I just mention our supporters, this season away from home they have been fantastic, outnumbering and out singing at quite a few games, it would be good to see as many fans as possible for these two big games, Staines is only just over an hour away and and Merstham is just a few minutes more. Everyone at the club really appreciate the time and money our fans put into supporting us and it really makes a difference.'
