HAWKS assistant manager Shaun Gale looks back at last weeks home victory against Hendon and previews this Saturday's home clash against Merstham;

'Last Saturday was a great win for us, we started the game very well, we could have easily been in front early on, yet we went behind to yet another superb free kick which the Hendon lad took really well, to be fair if we had had 4 keepers in the goal that would have been virtually impossible to keep out. The response from out lads was tremendous, we hit back instantly to draw level then a further 2 to put us 3-1 up was a really good response, again though we gave away a soft goal just before half time, then we lost Brian Stock at half time which was a big loss for us, Stocky controls the game well, but credit to the boys we dug in second half, we have played a lot better at home and come away with nothing, so we were not over happy with the performance but happy with the 3 points. we will now take that win forward into this weeks match, again it will be a tough match, Merstham are fighting for points at the moment being 5th from bottom, so they will come here and look to get something from the game, teams that come here don't make life easy for us, so we have to be on our game. we have worked hard in training this week and we will continue to prepare for Saturday, we are at home and its important we try and get all 3 points.

On to team news

'We have a couple of players with knocks, Georgie Barker and Brian Stock will face late fitness tests, Ben Swallow is back from his loan spell and has looked sharp in training, so we have options for Saturday's squad'.
