Lee Bradbury is relishing the prospect of the Hawks taking flight as they play their first ever game in the fifth tier of English Football citing he is “excited by the situation.”

The Hawks travel to Cumbria to face Barrow as we start our maiden season in The National League.

And the gaffer is looking forward to the 9 month journey ahead. “We’ve put ourselves in a good position both on and off the pitch and we need to make that count.

Now Pre-Season is done and we’ve had a good one but it is only pre-season. We’ve had some good displays and some good results and played some good sides and beat them but come 3pm tomorrow we need to make sure that we keep that going.”

And Lee Bradbury says it is a step into the unknown for his players as they prepare for life in The National League. “It is like stepping into the unknown. I haven’t managed in this league, some of the players have in it, some of them haven’t.

We don’t know exactly what to expect from Barrow. I’ve watched a lot of games from last season but things have changed, players have moved on and managers moved on.

We’ve done our homework on Barrow, had them watched last week and have a rough idea on how they play as well.”

Hawks make the long trip up north to face Ian Evatt’s Barrow side in the sides first ever match in The National League with a 3pm kick-off.

Tickets are available online with the link on the home page on the website, we look forward to a Hawk invasion tomorrow as 50-100 fans will make the long and arduous trip.
