Assistant manager Shaun Gale previews our first friendly of the season and the new look 1st team.
'Pre season training has been very positive, we have had 4 sessions to date and all the lads have worked very hard, we've been mainly focusing on fitness training, all the lads have kept themselves in good shape but we still put them through their paces as we realise we need to be super fit, in fact we need to be the fittest team.
'There is a very positive buzz in the camp, we have to have the hunger and desire, we expect 110% effort every week they go out, every week is a cup final that's the mentality we need to have to succeed in the Ryman. We have some new players who have all bedded in well, they work hard and want to do well, things are really looking good so far and we look forward to putting it into practice on the pitch, starting this Saturday away at Moneyfields.
'We visit Moneyfields on Saturday, Dave Carter always sets his team up well, they are a hard working side who will make it difficult for us, they have a great set up and are also looking for promotion this season and i'm sure they'll do well. It's the first game for both teams, we will be taking all the team on Saturday, and they will all get some minutes on the pitch, all the new signings will be involved on Saturday so a great opportunity to come down and see the lads in action.
The difference this season is that a lot of younger local talent has been available for us to sign, this is great for us it makes coming to training sessions and matches easier, players aren't having to travel 2 and a half hours each way. Last season we used to collect players on the way to matches this season we will be leaving together. We now have some young and very talented players which bodes well for the season ahead.'
