Assistant HAWKS manager Shaun Gale reflects on last weeks home victory and looks forward to the Boxing Day local derby against Bognor Regis Town.

'Last Saturday was a fantastic performance, I thought it was up there with one of our best performances of the season so far, especially the first half where we could have come in 6 or 7 up, I thought we were tremendous, we moved the ball quickly, we were physical, strong and played a fantastic tempo. A great hat-trick by young Alfie, good goals and good finishing, and i'm not surprised having worked with him, he's a good finisher. I think it was a great game great result and we deserved it. And now we need to carry that form on to the Christmas period and beyond.

'Although Bognor is potentially the biggest match of the season to date, no team ever wins the league in December yet this is a huge match for us and may well prove pivital at the end of the season, we know we are in for a tough game at Bognor, Jamie and Dabber have done wonders there, they have got some good players, we've watched them a few times this season and they are a good side. Come Monday we will have to be at our best to go there and get a result. Alfie and Jas will be going back to play against their old club, they left on good terms so no doubt they will enjoy going back to Nyewood Lane, they both did very well while at Bognor, so they will have nothing to worry about.

'The away support we've had this season has been absolutely fantastic, our fans pack behind the goal make a huge amount of noise and it does make a massive difference, so I hope as many of our supporters as possible will get out for a couple of hours, travel the short distance to Bognor and come and cheer the lads on. It will be a great game of football to watch between 2 very good teams. Finally, I would like to wish all the HAWKS fans a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and all the best for 2017'.
