As the HAWKS enter the business end of the season, Lee Bradbury will be expecting his troops to rise to the occasion and take all three points to continue the pressure as they go for top spot and push to be league champions.

Such a pivotal match as 2nd place HAWKS face 6th place Dulwich Hamlet, both teams will be desperate to take the 3 points, Dulwich powering towards the play offs, the HAWKS focus remaining on finishing top.

The first 10 minutes are a tight affair with neither side gaining the upper hand although a Rory Williams cross in the 2nd minute could have seen Jason Prior head home instead of just wide of the upright. Havant and Waterlooville just edging the play, a superb Wes Fogden cross finds the head of Jason Prior who forces a full stretch save from Dulwich Keeper Preston Edwards. Half way through the first half and its the head of Jason Prior again latching onto a Brian Stock cross..just wide again. Jordan Rose is forced off with an injury and is replaced by Lee Molyneaux with 20 minutes remaining of the first half. in the 30th minute Dan Strugnell collects the ball on the edge of the Dulwich area, he shoots on the turn his effort just over the target. 4 minutes later, Ed Harris rises high in the penalty area to head just over the bar. Against the run of play Ibra Sekajja uses his speed to great effect down the HAWKS left hand wing and fires home from a very acute angle Dulwich take the lead on 37 minutes. HAWKS winded by that sucker punch and nearly go 2 behind as Ibrahim Kargbo lets fly from 30 yards out, Ryan Young has it well covered and Parries the ball clear.

Many times this season we have seen the HAWKS come out and control the second half, with the majority of the 859 crowd hoping today will be no different. Just 2 minute in Brian Stock floats a cross into the Dulwich area, Theo Lewis rises above the defenders and loops his header over the Dulwich keeper finding the top corner of the net, HAWKS draw level. Just 2 minutes later Jason Prior fires a point blank shot and is denied by another great Preston Edwards save. Havant and Waterlooville can taste victory with wave after wave of attacks. With 20 minutes gone Theo Lewis goes for a 2nd as he meets Brian Stocks cross, heads on target, the ball goes behind for a HAWKS corner. Again the ball is fired into the Dulwich area, this time Jason Prior heads just wide of the upright. Alfie Rutherford joins the field replacing James Hayter. With 20 minutes remaining Dulwich have a chance to take the lead their effort headed wide. With just 15 minutes left on the clock Havant and Waterlooville are throwing everything at Dulwich, Jason Prior drives into the Dulwich area passing 2 defenders, he shoots and again the in form Dulwich keeper keeps the scores level. Ryan Young reacts quickly to an oncoming attack and saves well. The last roll of the dice on 84 minutes see's George Barker come on for Theo Lewis, could this be the substitution of the season? George Barker receives the ball on the edge of the Dulwich area, he weaves his way through the defence to the goal line and gets brought down in the area, within 20 seconds on the pitch George Barker earns the HAWKS a penalty. The whole of Westleigh Park hold their breath as Jason Prior steps up to the ball, Prior fires home with an unstoppable effort and the crowd erupt as Havant and Waterlooville take a 2-1 lead with just 4 minutes remaining. With just a minute remaining the HAWKS concede a dangerous free kick 20 yards out, again the crowd hold their breath but the well placed wall does it's job and the ball is cleared, despite 5 minutes of added time the HAWKS hold strong and take all 3 points in a very enjoyable football match.
