The Hawks are happy to announce the signing of Dutch attacking midfielder Djamel Leeflang.

Leeflang joins the Hawks on an initial short-term contract after gaining International clearance.

The 26-year-old joins the Hawks following a spell in the Indonesian Premier League with Perseru Serui.

He is well known for his versatility and has been in around the setup at Westleigh Park for a few weeks.

On top of his exploits in the Indonesian top tier, he also played for Maltese heavyweight Valetta between 2014-15, where they finished second in the league to Hibernians.

And the Hawks gaffer Lee Bradbury cannot wait to see the Dutchman in a Hawks shirt.

“I’m excited by him (signing for us). For me he’s a good signing because he links the play well, he’s intelligent in his movement and has got a great football brain.”

“I’m happy to have him and look forward to seeing him on the pitch.”

Leeflang is eligible to play for the Hawks in today’s clash against Chesterfield in The National League.
