With the Hawks enduring problems with injuries over recent weeks, Head Physio Phil “Skills” Ashwell has given us a latest update in The Physio Room.
Mike Carter is about to undergo an operation on his ankle injury within the next two weeks, as he continues to work through his injury during training sessions and on matchdays, which for those which follow Carter on social media would see on his Instagram stories.
Ed Harris, who played yesterday through the injury barrier with a groin strain is managing well, with a consultation to come but is soldering through and continued to work hard to get back to full fitness.
Wes Fogden is progressing well with his knee following the injury picked up in the 2-1 win over Aldershot Town in September.
Fogden has been using a Watt Bike and a Alter G anti gravity treadmill to help him through his recent injury woes.
Foggy is working hard during his rehab to reduce the amount of pain in his knee, with the hope that Fogden will be back in action for the Hawks sooner rather than later.
Paul Robinson has an inflamed knee following a clash in the 4-0 defeat away to Leyton Orient in late October. Skills is hoping that Robinson could return to action within the next couple of weeks.
And finally, Alex Bradley has tweaked a ligament in his back. He trained well on Friday during a daytime training session in Birmingham, with his injury being dealt dually between both the Hawks and West Brom's medical teams.
Ashwell was keen to stress how impressed he was with the hard work of the Hawks players in the recovery of their injuries and hopes that the hard work will prevail in getting them back in action soon.
