Bradbury: "We ticked every box"

By Henry Deacon (@H_Deaconmedia)

Hawks boss Lee Bradbury felt his side were the better of the two in our 2-0 win over Barrow in The National League.

Two second half goals from Theo Lewis and Rory Williams proved to be the difference as Havant secure their first win of 2019.

And the gaffer felt as if his sides quality was evident, especially in the second period.

Bradbury said: “That was the best all round performance we’ve had this season.

“We ticked every box; we were competitive, we worked hard, we had good quality on the ball when we did play, we mixed the game up well, we defended excellently today and attacked well.

“It was a really good performance from the players and they really deserved that.”

And the gaffer feels that his side had the bit between their teeth from start to finish.

“I think our players were really on it today all over the pitch, everyone’s worked so hard.

“I think we had better quality than them and whether we had a man sent off or not we certainly deserved to win the game.”

A win was a timely one with many sides in the bracket around the Hawks picked up points today.

“There was some strange results today. A lot of teams around us picked up points so it’s a big win to keep us out the bottom four.

“It’s a very good three points, we can take confidence from that performance and the result and we move on straight away.”
