Havant and Waterlooville are pleased to announce the re-signing of striker Matt Paterson.

Paterson returns to Westleigh Park for his second spell after joining the Hawks in 2015 before departing in 2017 following our promotion to The National League South.

After spells at Oxford City and Welling United respectively, he has secured a return to Westleigh Park in the hope of scoring the goals which could keep the Hawks in The National League.

In his first interview with the club since re-signing, ‘Pato’ spoke of his excitement of returning to the club.

Paterson said: “It’s brilliant (to be back), I’ve missed my time not being here over the past couple of seasons; the lads have done well over the past couple of seasons and when the opportunity arose I was more than happy to be back here and be back at the club again.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the boys again and getting going.”

Paterson is also looking ahead to the challenge that the final few months of the season will hold.

“It’s a new challenge and I’m looking forward to it and I’m going to give everything I can for the team.

“There’s a little bit of nervous excitement seeing the gaffer and everyone again, I’m really looking forward to it and buzzing to be back here.”
