Hawks’ newest recruit Alfie Pavey has said he is ready to “attack next season with a positive mindset” after joining the club on a 2 year deal from Dartford.
In his first interview since signing from the Kent based side he said joining the Hawks will be “a very exciting journey”.
On joining the club he said that“It’s going to be a very exciting journey for myself I’m coming into a team on the back of 2 promotions which is very deserved. The experience this club has in this team it will only make me a better player.”
He also held praise for the boss Lee Bradbury and cannot wait to play under his stewardship. “I’m looking forward to working with the Gaffer his showed real interest in me which is always nice and makes me feel very welcome already.”
And finally, Pavey cannot wait to don the famous Hawks jersey for the first time. “Come the 28th June I will make sure I’m fit and ready to attack this season with a positive mindset and let’s see what happens.”
It’s this “positive mindset” that he eluded to being one of the defining factors as to why he captured the National League South player of the season at Dartford last season and at the tender age of 22 will be hoping to use his youthful energy and pace to propel the Hawks up the National League table.
