Jonah Ayunga feels as if he hasn’t been away after kicking off his return to Westleigh Park in the same vain that he did during his loan spell last season.

Ayunga joined the club on a permanent basis in the summer after a short loan spell at the Hawks last season from Sutton United.

Teaming back up with manager Paul Doswell, the advice he has given the striker has been key to him netting four goals in three games this pre-season.

The Kenyan forward is loving life at Westleigh Park and is pleased to be up and running.

He said: “I’m enjoying my time down here. I’m back scoring goals and I can’t ask for anything more.

“Over the summer I’ve had a few chats with Dos and he knows what I need to improve on and I know what I want to do and it’s falling into place at the moment.”

Getting off to the quick start during pre-season was key for Jonah, after enduring a few injury problems in the past, he’s pleased his persistence is paying off.

“For me the priority is to stay fit and play as many games as I can.

“As long as I can continue that and maintain my fitness then I’ll be happy.”

Ayunga in his previous loan spell very quickly found himself a fans favourite, now being back at Westleigh Park, the love hasn’t stopped as he continues to produce the goods in front of his adoring supporters.

“It’s good to feel loved.” he said.

“It gives you the confidence to go ahead and do what you got to do, so hopefully I can keep giving them goals and they can keep giving me the love.”
