Benny Read has committed his future to Havant and Waterlooville after signing a new contract until 2021. 

Read, who joined the club from Wessex League Premier side Horndean in the summer, has been a standout performer during the Hawks’ good start to the season.

The 22-year-old has become a mainstay in the first team and quickly cultivated himself into a fans favourite amongst the Westleigh Park faithful.

And the right-back is pleased to have a long term commitment with the club.

He said: “I’m buzzing. Every since I come into the club on the first day of pre-season I’ve loved it.

“I’ve played quite a few games now and getting used to everything so it’s all good.”

Everyone at the club is pleased that Benny has signed this new deal with the club.
