Havant & Waterlooville make the trip to the AGP Steel Arena to face Billericay Town in the National League South on Tuesday evening.

The Hawks will have their eyes firmly fixed on building on a crucial win against fellow promotion chasers Slough Town last time out.

Paul Doswell’s side can currently be found in 5th position but with games in hand over the three immediate teams above them, a climb up the table is on the cards.

A win for The Hawks on Tuesday would push them up to 2ndin the league and hand a huge boost to their promotion plan.

With the sides weekend fixture away to Welling United being postponed, the side have had a full six days since their last competitive fixture.

Last time out, The Hawks enjoyed claiming a vital three points in a tight game against Slough Town at Westleigh Park.

A first half strike from captain Wes Fogden on the 30th minute mark was enough to give his side the win.

Tuesday’s opponents will be fully motivated to take the win as they are in the middle of a tense relegation scrap at the foot of the table.

The Blues have failed to win a game in their last seven league appearances which has seen them fall down the table into 20thposition and only out of the relegation zone on goal difference.

In their last game against Eastbourne Borough, they got off the a disastrous start as they saw themselves go 1-0 down after only two minutes.

Thankfully for The Blues Jack Paxman was on hand to cancel out Borough’s opener thanks to a goal from Jack Paxman just after the break.

Doswell’s men have yet to face Tuesday’s opponents this season due to the return fixture at Westleigh Park being postponed until our last game of the season on March 28.
