Havant and Waterlooville FC are very sad to be saying farewell to Henry Deacon our Media Manager. Henry joined HWFC as young nipper aged 15 he joined the Club as a commentator for Hawks Radio before taking on his role as Media Manager in 2017.

Henry’s enthusiasm and energy for all things ‘Hawks’ saw him set up our social media channels driving the Club into the spotlight of the digital world and modern era. Since that time our social channels have thrived and grown at an unprecedented rate with Henry at the helm.

Henry has become something of a celebrity in his own right and has become a firm favourite for his highly entertaining live match commentary and radio coverage.

Havant and Waterlooville CEO, Stuart Munro commented;

“We have watched in admiration at how Henry has grown in the role and in his own personality. Henry is truly a credit to the club, and we are sure that he will continue to flourish in any future broadcasting role he has moving forward.”

Henry Deacon replied; “It has been the most unbelievable experience here at Havant and Waterlooville. I can’t say thank you enough to everyone for what they’ve done, the board, staff and players over the last five years for their support to help me to do my job to the best of my ability.

“For me, now is the time to take the next step in my journey and go full time in the media game, and I look forward to coming back as a fan on the terraces.”

Whilst Henry will be missed by everyone at the club, we all wish him every success for his future, he will always remain a member of the HWFC family and we’re sure we’ll still see him in the terraces and in The Westleigh.

Good Luck Henry!
