The Hawks will be hoping to bounce back from Saturday’s gut-wrenching 2-2 draw at home to Maidstone United when they host Chatham Town in the third qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup, on Wednesday night.

Despite Saturday’s disappointing result, there were positives to take forward for Paul Doswell and his men. A Joe Iaciofano brace which almost secured victory as well as some impressive performances across the team were good signs for the season ahead.

A newly put together squad that lacked concentration at the end cost the Hawks. But that is something that can quickly be amended as they seek promotion to the National League this campaign.

But for now, their attention turns to cup football as they host a Chatham Town side that thumped their league rivals Beckenham Town 5-1 at the weekend.

So the Chats will travel down to the Draper Tools Community Stadium full of confidence, looking to cause an upset.

The away side sit second in the Southern Counties East Football League and have just one defeat to their name after seven games.

The Hawks will be hoping to reach the fourth qualifying round for the fourth successive season, whereas Chatham will be aiming to reach this particular round for the first time since 2013.
