Havant & Waterlooville get back into National League South action on Saturday as they welcome Chippenham Town to Westleigh Park.

The Hawks have had a week out of action after last week’s game away to Billericay Town was postponed.

Paul Doswell’s men currently sit in 4 th position in the league with at least one game in hand on the three teams above them in the division.

The Hawks will be going into the game carrying the confidence from their last outing two weeks ago in the FA Trophy.

A goal from Craig Robson before an Alfie Rutherford brace was enough to see them through to the first-round proper with a score of three goals to one.

The Bluebirds will be hoping to turn their fortunes around after one win in their last five games in the league.

Mark Collier’s side will want to replicate a similar form that helped the finish 13 th in the league last campaign.

The team from Hardenhuish Park will be motivated to put an end to their bad run of results after losing their last two games.

There is no undermining what a huge game it is for The Hawks as a win could take them up to second in the league, if other results go their way.

It was another great month for Doswell who picked up the National League South Manager of The Month award for his work throughout a busy November.

Doswell gave his thoughts on a big few weeks ahead for The Hawks: “I think that we’ve got two important home league games coming up.

“Obviously one Saturday against Chippenham, who have had a good FA Cup run this year. They lost to Northampton in the first round.

“I watched them play Eastbourne on Saturday and they’ve got some good strikers in their squad.

“I think that it will be a good game on Saturday and obviously them we move onto the Slough Town game on the Wednesday.”
