Midfielder Chris Paul has put pen to paper and has signed a new contract with the club to keep him at Westleigh Park until the end of next season.

Paul, who joined the club in December 2018, has agreed to extend his time at the club beyond his existing contract.

Even though he hasn’t played as many minutes as he would have liked this campaign, he is excited about the project taking place around Westleigh Park and cannot was to continue playing under Dos and Bairdy.

He said: “I like with the professionalism around the club and I’m happy to stay here for another year.

“I haven’t had the game time I would have liked but the team is going strong and I want to keep fighting for my place.

“The boys have got a big push between now and the end of the season and if I keep working hard you never know what could happen next season.”

Manager Paul Doswell is delighted with the news, and believes despite being experienced for his age, has plenty to give to the Hawks cause.

He said: “I’m delighted that Chris has signed a contract extension for next year.

“Whilst he hasn’t had the game time he would have liked me and Bairdy really like him and we feel he is going to continue to improve and eventually will be a big player for this Football Club.”
