Havant and Waterlooville Football Club are delighted to announce a ground share agreement with Clanfield FC of the Hampshire Premier Football League for the 2020-21 season.

The agreement will see Clanfield host 12 League matches at Westleigh Park this season, along with the Club using the ground as their training base.

Gary Pratt, Facilities Manager at Havant & Waterlooville FC, describes the agreement as an exciting venture for both Clubs moving forward:

“I am delighted that both Clubs have reached an agreement to share the usage of the new artificial pitch at Westleigh Park for the upcoming season. We have actively looked for a Club who work with their local community, as our Club strives to bring the local community closer together.

“Clanfield have fitted this role very well over the 20 years I have been involved in football, and they now have the chance to progress their first team through the Non-League System in future years.”

Stuart Wallis, Adult Club Secretary at Clanfield FC, commented:

“We are proud to announce that we have reached an agreement with Havant & Waterlooville Football Club to play all first team games at Westleigh Park. It’s an exciting time at Clanfield FC as we look to progress the Club to the next level. Our move will allow the Club to fulfil its ambitions and gain promotion to the Wessex Football League.

“While Peel Park will always remain Clanfield FCs spiritual home, unfortunately the Club cannot upgrade the facilities to meet the required Wessex League standards therefore, a move was always going to be necessary for the Club to progress up the leagues. We are now in a great position to do just that.”

Further details such as fixtures for both sides will be released in due course.
