Havant and Waterlooville FC are delighted to announce they have successfully received the approval to extend their alcohol license to a designated area within the Draper Tools Community Stadium.

Having worked closely with Hampshire Police and Havant Borough Council, the extension was granted this week. The pioneering project is the first of its kind within the region to gain approval for alcohol to be consumed pitch side during football matches.

The Football Club would like to thank Hampshire Police and Havant Borough Council for their assistance, guidance and support during this process.

Supporters will now be able to pre-order alcoholic beverages through a new app ordering system that notifies them when their order is ready to collect from the kiosk at the new build. Supporters can then enjoy their drinks within the clearly marked designated zone.

Supporters will see a notable increase in the number of stewards on match days, especially within and around the designated zone. The safety of all supporters remains priority during match days and as such the Club must ensure adherence to a strict and non-negotiable set of regulations:

  • Alcoholic beverages must be pre-ordered on the app to reduce the need for queues. You will be notified when your order is ready to be collected.
  • Alcohol consumption must only take place within the designated area of the ground.
  • We are operating the ‘Challenge 25’ scheme, with ID Checks being in place. It is illegal to purchase alcohol for those who are underage. If anyone is caught drinking underage or supplies alcohol to an underage person, they will be ejected from the game.

The Club respectfully ask that all supporters follow these regulations for the health and safety of everyone attending match days at the Draper Tools Community Stadium. The Club firmly believe that football should be able to be enjoyed within a safe and secure environment in keeping with our spectator code of conduct.

The app is available to download prior to this weekend’s National League South match against Maidstone United here;
