Havant & Waterlooville will look to extend their unbeaten start to the season to three games on Saturday 10th August as they travel back into the capital to face Dartford and the Princes Park Stadium.

The Hawks will be keen to build on their already impressive start to the season, claiming four points out of a possible six. After a draw at home on the opening day of the campaign, the team travelled to Hampton & Richmond on Tuesday night to record a memorable win in a 4-3 triumph.

The Hawks had to battle back from a 3-1 deficit, a second half brace from Kenyan international Jonah Ayunga added onto goals from Roarie Deacon and captain Wes Fogden was enough to seal all three points.

Dartford will be a very tough test for Paul Doswell’s men as they will be fully motivated to find their first win of the campaign. The London side had a difficult opening day to the season as they suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Wealdstone when they travelled to The Vale.

The Darts got their first point on the board when they welcomed St. Albans to Princes Park, the game ended 1-1 despite a strong performance from the home side.

Dartford finished in a very respectable 10th place in last seasons National League South division, they will be looking to get a big three points in the bag on Saturday to kickstart their journey to doing better this campaign. The Hawks will have their eyes on a promotion place so it is set up to be a fiery encounter on Saturday.

The Hawks attacking duo of Deacon and Ayunga will be hoping to cause some more problems on the weekend, the pair have been running riot throughout preseason and they have carried their form into the league scoring four goals between them in the opening two fixtures.

Summer signing Dean Beckwith, who has enjoyed a impressive start to life at Westleigh Park, discussed the weekends challenging match: “Dartford are very strong, they have a big physical presence up front and some big lads at the back as well, so it will be a very tough game.

“They get good crowds up there and a good stadium so it’s a good place to go in this division. We will go there with confidence after bouncing back on Tuesday night. It will be a good game; we have worked well in training, so we are ready to go and all looking forward to it.”
