Ahead of tomorrow’s visit of Weymouth to Westleigh Park, we look back at some of the classic confrontations between the pair in the past as we look to do the double over the Terras.

Simon Walton’s headed effort on New Years’ Day secured a vital three points for the Hawks in a 1-0 win at the Bob Lucas Stadium, but what happened on the previous occasions that the pair have met in competitive matches:

Havant and Waterlooville 5-0 Weymouth: December 2014

Following a 0-0 draw in the original fixture, both sides had to replay their FA Trophy first round tie at Westleigh Park as the Hawks ran out 5-0 winners.

Ben Wright scored twice early on in the opening period before Brian Stock found the net to make it 3-0 at the break.

Efforts from Scott Donnelly and Ben Swallow saw the hosts run out comfortable winners.

Weymouth 1-1 Havant and Waterlooville: December 2014

This draw ensured of that aforementioned replay as neither side could get the job done on the day on the Jurassic coast.

The Hawks took the lead on the hour mark against the ten men of the Terras with Bradley Bubb stepping up to the mark and scored.

But a resilient effort from the side who were a league lower at the time saw George Rigg rescue the game with 25 minutes to play.

Havant and Waterlooville 0-2 Weymouth: November 2011

Another FA Trophy tie which went to a replay at Westleigh Park, three years earlier it was the club in maroon which reigned victorious in this Third Qualifying Round tie.

Strikes by Matt Groves and Warren Byerley saw the visitors prevail.

Weymouth 0-0 Havant and Waterlooville: November 2011

A stalemate at the Bob Lucas Stadium meant the pair would have to replay the game mentioned above.

Neither side created many chances in a scrappy draw in Dorset.
