Havant and Waterlooville return to league action after a two week absence when Eastbourne Borough visit the Draper Tools Community Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

The Hawks were originally scheduled to play Altrincham in the FA Trophy Fourth Round however, a Covid case at Alty meant the game was postponed and later led to the National League’s sides withdrawal from the competition.

With two days’ notice, getting ready for any game will be a tough challenge, but both teams will already have known each other’s qualities with Eastbourne just outside the play-off spots.

The Sports played their first game in just under a month on Tuesday night when they were edged out 3-2 by Maidstone United.

Danny Bloor has turned them into a team with real belief, and in a season where the league has become open, they’ve pulled out performances and results worthy of where they are, and will be looking to push higher.

Goals seem to be bookended for tomorrow’s visitors with 56% of their league goals this season being scored in either the first or last 15 minutes of games. Such is their potency in front of goal, they’ve only failed to score on two occasions so far this season.

However, one clean sheet in the league this season will be a stat they’ll want to improve on, with the Sports gaffer bringing in full-back Kai Innocent on loan from QPR on Friday. He further delved into his contact pool at Loftus Road by signing striker Charley Kendell, both have signed loan deals until March.

Tomorrow’s game will be streamed on the Hawks Live platform, with Season Ticket holders being able to access the game through their unique password code, non STH’s should book now by clicking here.
