Havant & Waterlooville will welcome Eastleigh FC to Westleigh Park on Saturday for their last preseason match before the 2019/20 season.

After a very successful preseason campaign, it’s almost time for The Hawks to bring their current form into the National League South. The hosts have only lost one of their preseason fixtures and they will hope to end preparations on a high with another good result on Saturday.

The most recent win came midweek away against Winchester City thanks to first half goals from Ollie Dennett and Jonah Ayunga.

Manager Paul Doswell who joined the club earlier in the summer will be very happy with what the team has shown, the new players in the group has all gelled well together and that is reflected in the results of recent matches.

The Spitfires will be coming into the game with equally as confident players as they come off the back of a huge 7-0 thumping of Salisbury on Tuesday evening.

The National League visitors have also only lost one game this preseason, with their only defeat a narrow 2-1 loss to AFC Stoneham.

Jonah Ayunga has been the main man for the Hawks in preseason and after continuing his impressive running streak on Tuesday he will be a concern for the Spitfires defence having caused issues for many defenders already this term.

For The Hawks it’s the last opportunity to get some crucial minutes on the pitch before the start of an important season for the club.

The Westleigh Park faithful will be hopeful of a heroic return back up to the National League this campaign, and with a squad as strong as the one at the moment there is no reason why this dream cannot be achieved.

Following on from this game, The Hawks will begin the season at home against Welling United on August 3rd

The Wings came within touching distance of the National League last campaign as the reached the play off final only to suffer a defeat in their last outing of the season.

Nevertheless, make sure you head on down to Westleigh Park this Saturday to soak up the summer sun and enjoy the last 90 minutes of preseason football The Hawks will play this season as they face National League side Eastleigh.
