Former Hawks player Dan Strugnell has joined the list of donors to the Hawks’ new foundation campaign. 

Hawks fans have come together with the football club to raise £5,000 to get the initiative off the ground, which will see money go into community projects which will have a long-lasting impact on the area.

Strugnell, who played for the club between 2012 and 2019, is one of the first former players to put a donation on the GoFundMe page.

The defender, who has the second highest appearance total of all time, said his love for the football club and what the Hawks have given him as a person he felt it was the least in which he could do to help the club continue its drive to become the best community club in the area.

Everyone involved at the Hawks are humbled an ex player and someone considered a true club legend has decided to help kickstart the foundation.
