Havant and Waterlooville’s youngsters will kick off their FA Youth Cup campaign tonight when they take on Winchester City at Westleigh Park (kick-off 19:30).

The Young Hawks will be looking for a run in this year’s competition after being knocked out at the first hurdle last year to a talented Moneyfields side.

A team which combines both Sam Game’s South Downs academy and Tony Stares’ Pro:Direct academy side will take to their field against the Citizens at Westleigh Park this evening.

With the fixture taking place in the first week of the new term time, they have only been able to manage one fixture in warming up to the clash, A 6-0 win against Baffins Milton Rovers U18 at South Downs is the perfect tonic as far as confidence is concerned.

The combined squads trained yesterday in preparation to the fixture at South Downs College 3G where the finishing touches have been put in place for the fixture.

The Citizens Under 18’s last season finished second in the Hampshire County Youth League, finishing nine points behind runaway champions Team Solent FC.

Kick off for tonight’s game is at 19:30 at Westleigh Park with tickets priced at £5 Adults, £3 Concessions with Under 16’s getting free admission.

The Club Shop and The Westleigh will also be open this evening.
