Havant & Waterlooville have drawn Hadley FC in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup, The Bricks are the second lowest ranked side remaining in this year’s competition.

Hadley are the oldest club in Barnet and it’s safe to say they will be looking to cause a huge upset against The Hawks whilst concentrating on their campaign in the Essex Senior League.

The Bricks began their journey to this stage of the FA Cup all the way back on August 10th where they played host to Redbridge. They strolled through the tie with an emphatic 4-2 thanks to a brace from Alfie Bartram with Solomon Ofori and Sam Lyon adding their goals.

The next step in their journey was at home against Hoddesdon Town in the preliminary round, goals from Peter Rosemin and Paul Wright meant they won the game by a score line of two goals to nil.

The Bricks continued to pave the way through the competition with a win against Arlesey Town at the start of September before coming up against their most recent opponents in the 2nd round of qualifying. They managed to see off a Ramsgate side at Brickfield Lane with a slender 1-0 lead, the goal being scored by Tom Milton.

Hadley was moved to the Essex Senior Division at the start of the season and they currently find themselves in 7th place with a respectable 11 points from six games.

The Hawks will step up to face The Bricks on October 5th at Westleigh Park with a possible place in the fourth qualifying round of the tournament one prior to the famous first round of the competition.
