Collins, who spent four seasons with Havant between 2005 and 2009, has re-joined the club following his departure from Sutton United.

After coming through the ranks at Watford, Collins joined the Hawks and helped the team make some fantastic memories. Including an exceptional FA Cup run which saw the club defeat Swansea and play Liverpool at Anfield.

Since then, the defender has gained considerable experience at the likes of Newport County, Eastleigh and most recently Sutton United, totalling almost 500 career appearances.

Hawks boss Paul Doswell signed the defender for Sutton during his time there back in 2015, here’s what he had to say; “I’d put Jamie Collins up there as my biggest signing of the summer. Not just as a great player, but assisting with the first team coaching and working alongside Joe Oastler with the Academy – he’s got a big role to play here.”

After confirming his return, Collins said; “It’s great to be back, I had 5 great years here and now I’m back! When Doswell called they asked about helping with the first team training and the young lads in the Academy – it’s really exciting and a great opportunity to be working with Doswell and Bairdy again.”

To have Jamie Collins back, with a significant role to play at the Club, everyone is fuelled with further excitement for the upcoming season and delighted to have Collins back on-board.
