Havant and Waterlooville FC are delighted to announce their exciting new merger with Padnell Rovers Youth Club. The merger will see Padnell Rovers renamed Hawks Community Youth comprising of nine teams who will be welcomed to train and play at the Draper Tools Community Stadium, home of the Hawks.

Padnell Rovers were formed in the summer of 2014 by a small group of keen enthusiasts looking to give young children a chance to either learn to play football, whether they’ve never kicked a football before or have been playing since they could walk. This shared vision has seen their youth club grow from strength to strength highlighted by their successes on and off the pitch.

Padnell Rovers ethos is heavily aligned with ours, in that children participating in sports starts within the community and should be fully inclusive and accessible for all to enjoy, not to mention our shared belief in the positive impact that playing sports has on the mental health and wellbeing of children and adults alike.

Gary Pratt, Facilities Manager at Havant and Waterlooville FC said, “We’re really excited to welcome Hawks Community Youth (formally Padnell Rovers Youth) into the Hawks family and we can’t wait to see the children in action and utilising our new facilities here at the Draper Tools Community Stadium.”

Daryn Brewer, Chairman of Hawks Community Youth said, “Delighted to be merging with Havant and Waterlooville FC this week, this brings player pathway to local communities for all kids of all age groups to grassroots football. The children are really looking forward to experience playing in a stadium environment.”

The next couple of months will see Padnell Rovers Youth transition over to Hawks Community Youth, everyone at the Hawks are buzzing with excitement and keen to welcome the children under their wings.
