Havant and Waterlooville FC are delighted to add to their learning opportunities at the Draper Tools Community Stadium with the new addition of UCAS Higher Education Courses.

Working in partnership with Virtual Learning UK’s Universal Centre of Sport and Tony Stares (Head Academy Manager), Havant and Waterlooville FC can now offer students over the age of 18 the opportunity to gain up to a BSc (Hons) degree.

The courses on offer are:

  • HNC Sports Coaching Science
  • HND Sports Coaching Science
  • BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching & Sports Management

Each course provides a unique combination of teacher lead learning and hands-on work experience that better prepares students with the required skillset for the ever changing world of employment.

Based on-site, utilising the Club’s fantastic new facilities, students can also expect an immersive learning environment with opportunities to work alongside academy coaches and the first team.

Charlotte Chandler, Commercial & Marketing Manager said, “The provision of higher education courses is an incredibly exciting new addition for the Club. For academy students to be able to carry on their studies with us and reach their full potential is simply fantastic.

Likewise, it’s a great opportunity for students to join us to complete their higher education within an environment that can give them both the learning qualifications they desire as well as the practical experience to excel.”

The three new higher education courses are UCAS accredited with students able to apply for Student Finance as they would for any other UCAS qualification.

The course start dates are for this September’s 2022 intake for students aged 18 and over interested in continuing their higher education studies at Havant and Waterlooville FC please contact Tony Stares via email on [email protected] for full information.
