From the Manager

Hawks boss Paul Doswell is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Ryan Seager.

Seager will join the Hawks on loan from Yeovil Town until January, a move which Dos feels is important to keep his striking options healthy.

The 23-year-Old joins the club after failing to get regular minutes for the Glovers.

Discussing this signing, Doswell said:“ I’ve tracked Ryan’s career and progress.

“I watched him when he was doing very well at Southampton.

“Ryan got a very good loan move into League 1 with MK Dons and then subsequently Crewe.

“Unfortunately he picked up a knee injury when he went to Crewe, so he then goes to Holland last year to play in Division two and did very well.

“Signed for Yeovil, hasn’t quite worked out for him yet, but I know him, I know how he wants to play, he’s a goalscorer and I think when games are tight and the ball comes into the box I think he’s a fantastic fox in the box type striker.”

Dos also believes with injuries to the strike force, most notably Danny Kedwell, a reinforcement was necessary in his view.

“We needed it (the signing) numbers wise. Danny is seeing a surgeon this week and there’s every likelihood that he will be out for a minimum six to eight weeks.

“Ryan’s come in to cover Kedwell’s absence, there not exactly similar strikers but we were short of numbers and Ryan was available.”
