Havant & Waterlooville make their return to Westleigh Park on Wednesday 4th September to face Hungerford Town in a National League South clash under the lights.
The Hawks currently sit in 3rd place in the table with a game in hand over 2nd place Billericay Town. Paul Doswell’s side extended their run of the only side in the division to not have lost a game thus far.
The unbeaten run was added to most recently against Oxford City at Marsh Lane, goals from Alfie Rutherford, Wes Fogden and Roarie Deacon who scored an incredible goal in the first half was enough to secure all three points away from home.
The Crusaders have endured a disappointing start to the campaign but will be looking to cause an upset at Westleigh Park and make a statement to the rest of the division.
Their only win this season was a narrow 2-0 victory against Slough Town at home, however Ian Herring will no doubt have his side ready to take the challenge to The Hawks and try to topple their impressive run at the start of this campaign.
The Crusaders will have their eyes on improving on their 19thplace finish last season and taking points on Wednesday night will no doubt give them a huge boost to push on for the rest of the season.
It was another good week for captain Fogden who after signing a new deal only a matter of days before the game against The Hoops saw himself take a spot in the National League South’s Team of The Week for his performance.
Fogden will be the player the visitors will need to watch out for on Wednesday as his presence in the middle of the park along with his incredible energy levels make him a handful to contain for the best of teams in the league. The Hawks captain also claimed 43% of the votes in the fans Man of The Match poll.
Doswell spoke on the upcoming fixture after the impressive win on the weekend: “We had a brilliant crowd at the Dorking Wanderers game on a Wednesday night and I urge everyone to come a get behind us.
