Havant & Waterlooville continue their National League South season and begin a very busy January month on Saturday as they welcome Hungerford Town to the Draper Tools Community Stadium for their first match of 2021.

The Hawks have not played a game in the league since December 19th due to FA Trophy commitments as well as a number of postponements.

So far this season Paul Doswell’s men have enjoyed a relatively successful start to the campaign as his side currently occupy one of the play-off spots despite playing the joint fewest games this season.

After nine games played The Hawks have 17 points in the division, through five wins, two draws and two defeats.

The last Hawks outing was in the FA Trophy in mid-December where they managed to squeeze past fellow National League South side, Braintree Town by a score line of one goal to nil courtesy of Roarie Deacon.

Our weekend opponents have managed to fly out of the traps as they find themselves 3rd in the table, with only two points separating them with current top spot side St Albans City.

The Crusaders have played the most games in the league with a total of 14 being played, but will be looking to extend their winning run to three games on the bounce to get the best possible start to the new year.

It was a day to remember for the club last time they stepped onto the pitch as they recorded their first ever win over Bath City.

Danny Robinson’s men found their form on the road as they stormed away from Twerton Park with a 2-0 victory under their belts. Goals from Ryan Seager and Craig Fasanmade was enough to seal the three points.
