Hawks midfielder, Chris Paul, has signed a new contract with the Hawks which will keep him at the club for another year.

The young Englishmen was welcomed to Westleigh Park in December 2018, and despite not getting a large number of minutes of the pitch has impressed the club with his performances.

Paul said he was delighted to put pen to paper with the club: “Obviously I haven’t had the game time that I would’ve liked but the teams going strong, I’ve just got to keep fighting for my place.

“I like the professionalism around the club, and I am happy to stay here for another year.”

The Hawks have bounced back from National League relegation strongly and have aims of playing at that level against next campaign.

The midfielder expressed how glad he is to stay part of The Hawks project: “The boys have got a big push for the last end of the season and I feel that if I keep working hard I can see what happens next year.”

Paul did admit that being part of the team that was relegated has motivated him to help the club get back to where they were.

“I feel that looking at some of the clubs in the National League we would love to go and play at those places so I feel that we can go and do that.”

The Hawks find themselves 2ndin the National League South and only six points off top spot so will be delighted to have the likes of Paul helping them in their promotion hunt for the rest of the season.
