The Hawks host Dover Athletic, who is the first new side Paul Doswell has faced this season, following their relegation from the National League.

Havant & Waterlooville have had a good return from their first three matches, with two wins and a draw leaving the side third in the table on seven points. Dover Athletic sit on four points following their opening three matches; one win, one draw and one loss.

Dover visit the Draper Tools Community Stadium off the back of a 2-1 home loss to Tonbridge Angels. Jordan Higgs opened the scoring for the Whites, before Walters halting the celebrations just 10 minutes later. All square at half-time. Joe Turner’s penalty for the visitors turned the game on its head and the Angels left the Crabble with 3 points.

A brilliant win in Dartford could prove to be vital ahead of this clash as the Hawks will be full of confidence after Tuesday night in Kent. Jason Prior opened the scoring with a textbook back post header, before Rodari levelled things up. It was substitute Oscar Gobern who scored the winner half-way through the second half with his first touch of the match.

The Hawks though, will be without talisman Jason Prior who received a three match suspension after his red card against Braintree Town. Paul Doswell will be looking at other strike options: Danny Wright and Mo Faal will be hoping for the call up. A familiar face, Alfie Pavey, returns to the Draper Tools Community Stadium after he spent some of the 2018 campaign with the Hawks before leaving for Dover. This summer’s move for Pavey is his third spell at the club.

It is set to be an interesting affair, with the sides not meeting since the National League fixture in 2019. It was a 0-0 draw in Havant.
