The Hawks take their third consecutive away trip, this one is along the south coast to Dover Athletic (for the second time).

We come off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Hemel Hempstead, where a clinical Brad Quinton side dispatched of the Hawks. Pressure was put on the hosts in the first half, with the tempo of the Hawks’ play was turned up a notch compared to Tuesday. Holness though got the better of the Hawks backline and a brilliant solo goal was slotted past Sharman-Lowe.  It was a sucker-punch for Paul Doswell when Hill scored so soon after the interval and Hemel walked always with three points.

Dover’s form has certainly improved, with a win over Eastbourne, a draw to Chelmsford and a brilliant away win at Taunton. The Cygnet isn’t an easy place to go, as we know, but Brundle’s men got the better of the Peacocks with a second half goal from Higgs. They took the long drive home with three valuable points.

HAWKS FORM: LLWWL

DOVER FORM: WDWDL

The Hawks will be without Charlie Ruff and Muhammadu Faal tonight as they were both sent walking last week against Bath. Joe Oastler’s suspension won’t kick in until Saturday.

The last time we met, it was a huge 4-2 victory for the Hawks. Muhammadu Faal had his first start for the club and notched a brace either side of an Alfie Pavey equaliser. McCarthy and Roberts secured all three points before Carney slotted home a consolation.

If you remember, this match was originally meant to be played on January 21 but it was called off just 90 minutes before kick-off, after everyone had already travelled.
