Havant and Waterlooville Football Club can confirm that after a meeting of the 68 member clubs, all three National League divisions will play their respective league games tomorrow afternoon.

The meeting came in light of the Coronavirus outbreak where the UK Government has taken the four step strategy to the “delay” phase.

With there not being a ban on sporting events, a meeting between the clubs was passed following cancelations by other organisers of their respective leagues due to the virus.

The situation in the three leagues will still be looked at very rigorously over the coming days in case further announcements should be made.

This means our game tomorrow afternoon against Dorking Wanderers will go ahead as planned and we would actively encourage any support of the lads we can get, but we would like to remind supporters of the strategy’s the UK Government has put in place to help protect us all from Coronavirus.

  • Wash you hands for at least 20 seconds regularly
  • Cough or sneeze into a tissue or over your elbow if you can’t get to a tissue in time
  • Avoid touching your face

Please also be aware of social distancing rules being put in place and that a lack of physical contact should be maintained at all times including handshaking.

We thank you all for your support, and for as long as we are able to play we hope you can get behind the side.
