News

Dear Supporters

I am sure that you are aware of the Government’s recent announcement regarding the postponement of allowing supporters into stadiums for games at National League level and above.

Whilst this is disappointing news to us as a Club, and it will be to you no doubt, we must take stock of this decision and the reasons as to why it has been made. The health and wellbeing of everyone is paramount, and we as a Club support this.

At this time, our dedicated staff and volunteers are in constant dialogue with many organisations involved with the running of fixtures at our level. We are working with these bodies to seek clarification on a number of points, and we feel that until this has been received, it would be naive of us as a Club to provide information that could change once again in the near future.

As you will be well aware, our Club has taken massive strides in recent times to bring the community together. The installation of the new artificial pitch will still (as it stands) allow local sides to participate in football at Westleigh Park. This is a fantastic achievement for this Club, and we should carry on this wonderful work, whilst adhering to the new regulations from Government.

As a result, we would like to ask our supporters to keep the enthusiasm that was shown when we released the season ticket details, and get behind the Hawks as we continue to prepare for the new season.

Warm regards

Derek Pope
