The 21-year-olds senior career began at Dorchester Town and it didn’t take long for Ayunga to show his quality as he scored on his debut in a 3-0 win over Histon on the opening day of the 2015/16 season.

After impressing during his first year at the club Brighton & Hove Albion came calling in February 2016 with an offer of £40,000. Despite never making the first team, Ayunga represented their U23 outfit on numerous occasions, scoring his first goal two months later in a 4-1 win over Newcastle United U23. Ayunga also featured in a pre-season 7-0 thrashing of his former side Dorchester in July later that year.

The first loan move away from the Seagulls came with Burgess Hill Town in the seventh division in October 2016, he spent one month at the club making 10 appearances before returning to Brighton.

In January 2017, Ayunga had his sights set on a move away to Sligo Rovers in Ireland for the rest of the year. He ended the season with 21 first team appearances under his belt hitting the back of the net on four occasions. The first coming off the back of a suspension against a Bohemian side which lost 2-0. He departed from the Bit O’ Red’s on July 31st where he joined fellow Irish side Galway United.

Ayunga’s time with the Tribesmen was cut short through injury after only making four appearances for the club.

After being released from Brighton after two years with the club, the bright talent was picked up by National League side Sutton United. He made his debut with the Yellows in a 1-0 win against Maidstone United. He scored his first goal for the club against a strong Leyton Orient side early in the second half, his goal proving to be the difference on the day.

The Kenyan joined the Hawks in November 2018 to start his three-month loan spell. Ayunga couldn’t have wished for a better start as he netted on his debut in a 5-2 win against Maidstone United.

Sutton recalled Ayunga early in his loan spell seeing him feature 17 more times for the yellows before the season came to a close. He chose to re-join his former side on a permanent basis signing for the Hawks before the 2019/20 season.
