Paul Doswell was appointed as Havant and Waterlooville manager in April 2019 on a three year deal following the clubs relegation from The National League.
Doswell came into the Westleigh Park hotseat with a wealth of experience in both The National League and National League South having previously been manager of both Eastleigh and Sutton United.
It was during his 11 year spell with the U’s where he enjoyed most of his managerial success. He achieved two promotions with the Gander Green Lane outfit, sending them into The National League in 2016.
The following season he managed to keep Sutton in the fifth tier in a season which will be remembered by many supporters for their remarkable FA Cup run.
They embarked on a remarkable run which saw them beat league opposition in AFC Wimbledon and Leeds United before being given a dream fifth round tie as they hosted Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal.
The U’s lost 2-0 in front of a bumper crowd at Gander Green Lane, but despite defeat went out in heroic fashion having won the hearts of the nation.
However, after 11 years in charge of the South London club Doswell stepped down to take on the challenge here at Westleigh Park where he is closer to his home in Winchester.
