The situation we find ourselves in is unprecedented in modern times and nothing similar has happened to society for about 100 years. The Spanish flu pandemic in 1918-19 affected 25% of the British population, with over 200,000 deaths.

We at the Hawks, have to make many difficult decisions at the moment in order to ensure that the club and the Westleigh survive this crisis. We sincerely hope that our insurance and the measures announced by the Government will support our staff, players and ground-staff. In the meantime, the club are working hard to try and find the best resolution for the employees including players and the management. We will be looking at all of the avenues proposed by the Government to find the best outcome we can, but it will not be easy.

Havant & Waterlooville FC plays a huge part in all of our lives, and this period of inactivity with at the present no indication when we will see football again presents us all with challenges. But HWFC is more than just a football club. We are a community and we are committed to being here for you throughout. Together, we have overcome challenging times in the past and I am sure we will emerge from this period stronger than ever.
We truly appreciate your loyal support and hope you and your families are staying safe. We thank all our staff, directly affected by the necessary financial change for their co-operation and understanding.
