Havant and Waterlooville FC CEO Stuart Munro has released the following statement on the effects not allowing fans into stadia come the start of the season will have on the club and the local community that it serves:

“Football at all levels will cease to exist if we do not allow crowds back into our stadiums. At Havant our main source of income is through our gate receipts from our loyal fan base. 

“Our Club is an important part of the community in which we serve and will not function without the Government urgently agreeing to a safe return of our supporters. 

“We successfully held the play off game back in July, where we followed all protocols and were congratulated on our safety measures and procedures by all who attended the game. 

“Put simply, football without fans is not football.
