Havant & Waterlooville play host to Wealdstone at Westleigh Park on Saturday in a top of the table National League South clash.

Our opponents currently sit top of the league, but The Hawks will be looking to close the gap at the top and make the most of their three games in hand.

The Hawks will be looking to build on their 2-1 win against Hemel Hempstead on January 11.

Paul Doswell’s side are third in the league only eight points off top spot but a win on the weekend could push them above Bath City into second.

The midweek clash against Slough Town was postponed again due to bad weather on the south coast.

Wealdstone have enjoyed a stellar first half of the season but seem to have struggled in recent weeks after losing two out of their last three games.

The Stones will hope to build on from last game where they managed to take all three points from a close encounter with Welling United in a 1-0 win.

The Hawks will be eager to take all three points in front of the Westleigh Park crowd but will have to be on top form if they are to defeat the strongest side so far this season.

With promotion to the National League very much on the cards for both sides, the game is set up to be a thrilling one between two sides who have had winning habits this campaign.

When the two sides played earlier in the season it was Doswell’s men who came out on top in an emphatic 4-1 win away from home.
