Havant and Waterlooville FC are delighted to announce the official opening of the new building at the Draper Tools Community Stadium this weekend.

A small ceremony took place on Saturday before the National League South home match against Maidstone United. In attendance were the Football Clubs Board of Directors and local Havant MP, Alan Mak, who officially opened the building cutting the blue and yellow ribbon.

The Football Club would especially like to thank the Football Foundation for the Football Improvement Stadia Fund (FSIF) that was granted to improvement the facilities at the ground.

The smart new building represents the positive changes that have taken place over the last year to modernise the grounds and facilities. Together with the state-of-the-art artificial pitch, the Club are well positioned to be able to better serve the local community.

The new building consists of a kitchen that will be able to serve food and refreshments for match days and for 3G pitch users during the week. It also sports two unique multi-functional rooms each fitted with large TV screens and kitchenettes that can be utilised as classrooms for the Academy, local businesses, community groups, functions and meeting spaces.

Construction began back in June of this year and despite one or two supplies issues, the Club are delighted to have completed what will now become a shining beacon representing not only the Club’s future ambitions but also a welcoming addition for the local community.
