Havant & Waterlooville get their FA Trophy campaign underway on Tuesday night as they travel to Larges Lane to face Bracknell Town.

The Hawks will be looking to replicate a similar performance to that showcased in their last National League South outing against Ebbsfleet United away from home.

It was a great afternoon on the road for Paul Doswell’s men as Craig Robson was on hand to open their account on opposition soil, this was partnered with a brace from striker Tommy Wright who managed to bag himself a goal either side of the break.

The win saw Doswell’s side fly up the table into the much sought after play-off places for the first time this campaign.

Tuesday presents a great chance for the squad to take their sights away from the pressure on league action and aim to bring a piece of silverware back to the Draper Tools Community Stadium.

It will be no simple task for The Hawks however, as Bracknell Town have already seen themselves through three rounds of the competition.

Their FA Trophy run began in mid-October with a home tie against Sevenoaks Town who they brushed aside with relative ease in a 2-0 victory. This was followed by a cancellation in the next round which was due to be against Cinderford Town.

Bracknell were then faced with a cup tie away from home against Salisbury who they squeezed past with a narrow score line of 1-0.

The Robins currently play their league football in the Isthmian South Central Division and find themselves fifth in the table despite only playing five games, the lowest in the division.

Despite the difference in non-league tiers, it is essential that the sides are on the top of their game if they want to advance further in the competition.
