Havant & Waterlooville welcome an 8th place Braintree Town side to Westleigh Park on Saturday as National League South action enters its 11th matchday of the season.

The Hawks currently are perched in 2nd spot and remain the only team in the division not to lose a game this campaign with a record of five wins and five draws.

The most recent result for the hosts was a 2-2 draw away to Maidstone United after a memorable goal from substitute Danny Kedwell at his old stomping ground was unfortunately cancelled out in injury time.

The Iron’s will be looking forward to Saturdays tough match up and will looking at upsetting the hosts as they won last weekend against Dulwich Hamlet by a score line of two goals to nil.

The visitors have experienced a strong start to the season as they find themselves one place outside the play off spots due to goal difference. They have won five of their games and lost four. There will be some familiar faces on the Braintree team sheet as they were also relegated from the National League last time out.

The Hawks will be hoping for the same outcome as the last time The Iron’s came to Westleigh Park when the home side snatched the victory in the dying moments in December 2018 thanks to Alfie Rutherford’s second goal of the game in the 93rd minute, sending the terraces into raptures.

Paul Doswell will no doubt have his side ready to close the gap on league leaders Wealdstone on Saturday, so make sure you get yourself down to Westleigh Park and get behind the team as they continue the chase for National League football next season.
