The club can announce that Club Secretary, Trevor Brock has resigned from his position in recent weeks.

Trevor is one of the most recognisable members of the club, with his volunteer work spanning over 40 years just here with us!

Trevor played a key role in the creation of Havant and Waterlooville back in 1998 and has continued to undertake a variety of responsibilities throughout his time with the Hawks as well as outside of the club where he has also been involved on FA Disciplinary panels all in just shy of 60 years involvement in and around football. He received a Football Association Gold Medal in recognition of his service.

As reported in the article in The Portsmouth News when Trevor was in receipt of his award just over 2 years ago, “Brock is believed to be the only person in English football history to have acted as a secretary for clubs from the very lowest level of the adult game – in his case the Portsmouth & District League in the 1960s – to the National League, the top tier of non-league football in this country.”

Chairman, Derek Pope added, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Trevor for everything he has done for this club. His unwavering dedication to the club is clear for all to see.

Personally, Trevor has been a great help with the administration side of running a football club and without his hard work, many things would not have happened.

The door is always open for Trevor to come to watch games and as he puts it so well on a match day… “Get behind those Hawks!”

Everybody at the Hawks wishes Trevor well and a huge thank you from all of us for your tireless work over the years.
