Havant & Waterlooville take a break from their busy National League South schedule as they host Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round.

The Hawks will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend after losing to Hemel Hempstead at Westleigh Park on October 12th, despite being 1-0 up in the late stages of the game two quickfire goals before the referees’ whistle meant that The Tudors took the spoils.

Paul Doswell’s side now sit in a strong fifth position but they will turn their focus away from the league this week with a place in the first round of the FA Cup up for grabs.

Our weekend’s opponents are a fellow National League South side so it will be a very close encounter.

The Hamlet are currently in 14th spot in the league, and they will be looking at Saturdays tie as a great chance to get their season back on the road after failing to win any of their last seven games in the league.

Despite their run of poor league form The Hamlet have been storming through the cup competitions. Their most recent win in the competition was an emphatic 5-1 thrashing of AFC Croydon Athletic.

Gavin Rose’s side are not shy of scoring goals in the cup as they smashed six pass Bognor Regis Town in the second qualifying round back in September.

The Hawks boss was able to provide the fans with so good news prior to the cup clash with some key players returning from injury: “We have got a couple of bits of good news, Bradley Tarbuck is back in full training so that’s one addition back into the squad.

“Wes Fogden trained yesterday with the physio and did well enough to come almost three quarters of the session today.”
