Havant and Waterlooville Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of full back Devante Stanley, who joins the Hawks following his release from St Albans City.

Devante was a standout performer for the playoff finalists last year, and notched two goals and seven assists in his 42 appearances.

He came off the back of a horrific injury, a double leg break, but has kicked on from then and in his words, come back stronger.

The 26-year-old was arguably one of the best full backs in the league last season, with manager Jamie Collins doing brilliantly to secure his signature.

On why he joined the Hawks, Devante said: “It’s a big club with ambition, and after speaking to the manager its clear they want to get promoted, and I want to be involved with that.

“It was a very good season [with St Albans], we got to the playoff finals but we didn’t win it, that was tough. It didn’t end how I would have liked it to.”
