As I write these notes, I sit down and think about what to write. Sometimes it is very simple, and at other times can be pretty difficult. It has been well known that there have been a number of changes in the club’s media space in recent times, and I feel this is the perfect opportunity to provide an update to our dedicated supporters.

Since the start of the season, we have seen a number of changes in positions that is easily noticeable for supporters, especially within our media team. I am incredibly saddened to see Adam Nixon leave the club. This change is a clear progression for his career and everyone at the club wishes nothing but the best for him. To sum up Adam’s work, the club have had a complete re-brand, not only on all social media channels, but the club programme too. He has also become well known in and around the Club and the League for his co-commentary on Hawks Radio. Testament to the kind of man Adam is, he has stepped up and volunteered to help the club after starting his new Full Time employment to ensure that the club’s media output is able to continue where possible, until a suitable replacement was found.

We also have seen our Hawks Radio main commentator Matt Drabble leave. I am sure that Matt has a successful career ahead of him, and with work being offered by national organisations already, it is clear that other broadcasters agree too!

I am sure you will all join me in wishing both Adam and Matt the very best of luck in the future.

Many people have been in contact with the club regarding Hawks Radio, as well as other media notifications, and it is only right that I give you a full update of where we are at. I am delighted that we have offered the role of Social Media and Content Creator to a successful candidate following an extensive application and interview process. There will be more information about this posted in the next few days and this will see a return to the excellent content that has been previously produced by the club. I would like to thank all supporters who have showed incredible patience during this difficult time, and for all the comments about the situation and offering ideas on how to rectify issues.

As General Manager of the club, it is my responsibility to ensure that the day to day running of the club is held to the high standards that our supporters and stakeholders expect. It would be remiss of me not to mention the outstanding hard work undertaken by a team of incredibly dedicated staff who try to give the a platform for all of our teams to excel. I for one have understood some of the frustrations in previous weeks, and I hope for those who have taken the time to speak to me about them, have a clear understanding that we all have the best of intentions for the club.

Looking to the future, I am confident in a positive approach, and that the supporter experience for both home and away fixtures will be something we can all be proud of.
